CURTIS A. EDGIN, AIA, NCARB, MCPPO

PRINCIPAL

Curtis Edgin is President and Principal-in-Charge at Caolo & Bieniek Architects, bringing nearly four decades of architectural experience—35 of them with the firm. He is a seasoned project leader with a focus on public-sector design, specializing in facilities for police, fire, emergency response, education, and municipal operations throughout New England.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Curtis holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky. His extensive experience includes public project management, historic preservation, and work on state and federally funded facilities. His leadership emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and contextual design—ensuring that each facility meets the needs of its users while reinforcing the identity of its community.

A dedicated community member, Curtis currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club, chairs the Community Grants Committee for the West Springfield Rotary Club, and is a member of his church’s Facilities Committee. His past service includes roles with the Springfield YMCA, Human Resources Unlimited, and advisory positions at Springfield Technical Community College. He has also presented at the Build Boston conference on accessible design solution

Curtis is known for being analytical, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to the success of his projects and team. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on hands-on projects around the house.
