Caolo & Bieniek was proud to celebrate along with the town of Easthampton, the opening of the brand new Mountain View School. We have come a long way and the staff and students are enjoying their new state-of-the-art facility. A number of community members as well as Massachusetts School Building Authority officers, Colliers representatives, and Easthampton Public School officers were there to witness the ribbon cutting.
CBA helps develop proposed construction of New Hampden County Courthouse
Caolo & Bieniek Architects worked with local developer Peter Picknelly of Opal Development Company, to present a proposal to build a new Hampden County courthouse along Springfield’s riverfront. The proposed $475 million dollar project would occupy 14.5 acres along the north side of Memorial Bridge.
The CBA team is fortunate to play a role in designing a solution that best meets the needs of the county and city while also achieving the goals of the community.
Marshfield Senior Center Expansion Complete
Caolo & Bieniek Architects were proud to attend the Grand Open House of the now expanded Marshfield Senior Center. The thoughtful design features and attention to architectural detail has curated a fresh new atmosphere for residents to enjoy and share amongst one another.
Carol Hamilton, Director of Marshfield Council on Aging states that she is “enthusiastic about our future” and with this new space the center can tap into “the real benefits of socialization, companionship, engagement, stimulation – to keep people healthy as they age.”
Grand Opening of UMass Aviation Research and Training Center
Caolo & Bieniek was proud to end April strong with the opening of UMass Aviation Research and Training Center at Westover Metropolitan Airport.
The overall project included the construction of an 8,400 square foot single-story building housing a 360-degree traffic control simulator capable of replicating any airport in the U.S. The center was designed to provide advanced training methods, employ aeronautical research, and improve aviation safety and efficiency. It includes a 40 –person classroom capable of handling projected program growth, including future expansion for a full-motion flight simulator.
2020 Business of the Year Award
The design team at Caolo & Bieniek Associates, Inc. was honored to receive the 2020 Business of the Year Award from the Greater Chicopee Chamber of Commerce, for all of their hard work in and around the community. North Hadley Welcomes a New Fire Sub-Station
North Hadley celebrated a fresh addition to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony opening a new sub-station off of Route 47, this past September.
Springfield Central Library Awards
CBA led a major renovation at the Springfield Central Library, making the landmark facility more accessible and welcoming for its 400,000+ yearly visitors. The library, constructed in 1912, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and continues to serve as one of the city’s most historically and culturally significant buildings.
Boston Society of Architects Award
The Boston Society of Architects (BSA) presented Caolo & Bieniek Associates with the 2019 Accessible Design Award for our work at Westfield State University’s Davis Hall at their annual Awards Gala in January, 2020.
